Emilie Amrein is Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral Studies at the University of San Diego where she conducts the USD Concert Choir and Choral Leadership Collaboratory. Emilie is the co-artistic director of Common Ground Voices / La Frontera, a bi-national community music project that aims to build relationships and understanding across political, demographic, and perceptual borders as an exercise of non-violence. She also co-hosts and produces The Choral Commons podcast, a virtual community where choral and community music practitioners can gather in order to envision equity-centered choral futures.
Matt Ignacio is an accomplished singer and choir director. He is the artistic director for Tremble Clefs San Diego (a local non-profit dedicated to those living with Parkinson’s Disease). He serves as the Music Director at St. John of the Cross Church, cantor for the Diocese of San Diego, and is a music director for local theatre companies. Matt graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Linguistics from SDSU in 2011, and has used that education in his work with Tremble Clefs. He has won accolades for his musical theatre work and is a certified Song Shine Instructor. A San Diego native, Matt also performs as a soloist throughout the county, and seasonally with the Tinseltone Carolers.
