This past year we all experienced changes and adjustments to our occupations. “Working Overtime, a Musical Revue” celebrates our shared experience working “9 to 5” with song selections from Working the Musical as well as a few additional numbers that elevate the voice of the working person.
This performance paints a vivid portrait of the men and women that the world so often takes for granted: the schoolteacher, the phone operator, the waitress, the millworker, the mason and the housewife, just to name a few. This show features new songs by Tony Award-winning Lin-Manuel Miranda, as well as favorites by Stephen Schwartz, Craig Carnelia and James Taylor. Join us for a musical exploration of people from all walks of life. From the truck driver to the cleanin’ women, take a raw look at the people behind their profession and catch a glimpse of their humanity, regardless of the trappings of the job itself.
