Come hear two rarely performed choral pieces from the early 19th century, both composed only one year apart but on different continents:  Missa de Nossa Senhora da Conceição (Mass of Our Lady of the Conception) (1810) by the Brazilian composer José Maurício Nunes Garcia and König Stephan (1811) by Beethoven.

Performed by the Greater San Diego Chamber Orchestra and Chorus, directed by Dr. Angela Yeung, with soloists Irene Marie Patton, soprano, Mary Boles Allen, alto, Alexis Alfaro, tenor, and Andrew Garrett, bass.
