The La Jolla Renaissance Singers will be presenting an exciting program this Winter Season 2025-2026, a program that journeys through musical history and captures the essence of “The Feasts of Christmas” as festivities were during the Renaissance Christmastime Celebrations.
Our songs will journey back in time where the feasting was at the heart of Christmas celebrations, a time to reaffirm bonds of faith and community. Similar to our modern Christmas celebrations today we prepare special foods to highlight the festivities this directly ties into the theme of feasting. The program will feature works by prominent renaissance composers known for their sacred and festive music, such as Praetorius, Stoltzer, and Palestrina. It will be like stepping back into a renaissance Christmas celebration!
