“An Evening’s Light” will feature a program of sacred and secular choral music inspired by the setting of the sun, the mysteries of eventide, and the journey through the night into dawn.

As a brand new choir, Stellarum hopes to entertain, educate and enthrall audiences with this free concert, featuring choral music from across Europe and North America.

The magic of dusk and evening has always captured the imagination of choral writers, whether through the sacred rites of Evensong and Vespers, or translated used as a way of granting safety and comfort through night, and the journey into the next world.

Music will include –

Joseph Rheinberger’s “Abendlied”

William Byrd’s “Ave Verum”

Paul Smith’s “Nunc Dimittis”

Blake Henson’s “My Flight for Heaven”

John Tavener’s “Funeral Ikos”

And Rachmaninoff’s “Bogoroditse Devo” among others.

Tickets are free but limited due to Covid restrictions.
