San Diego Chorus (Sweet Adelines)
The San Diego Chorus of Sweet Adelines International has open auditions every Wednesday night at 6:45pm year-round in Room 207 in the Casa del Prado building across the street from the Natural History Museum in Balboa Park. The San Diego Chorus welcomes women of any age, race, nationality, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender expression to visit us for an open audition. We enjoy meeting singers looking for a place to be a part of a wonderful sisterhood filled with music, laughter and camaraderie. The San Diego Chorus is a highly trained and talented group that has earned more awards, medals and prizes than any local sports team. An a cappella show chorus of women singing 4-part harmony in the barbershop style, The San Diego Chorus of Sweet Adelines International is committed to both local entertainment and international competition. Led by Director Kathleen Hansen, each rehearsal is a lesson in vocal and performance skills. Along with musical development, the San Diego Chorus offers creative opportunities in areas like choreography, costume design, and show production. Leadership opportunities are available for every member. Please visit our website, sdchorus.org.
