First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Diego

Expert Overview

Our 40-member Chalice Choir provides an opportunity for individuals to develop their musical talents and to contribute to our church life in a significant way. Open to singers from high school age on, the Choir sings fine choral music from a variety of cultures and musical styles, which helps deepen the worship experience and challenge the singer. The Chalice Choir usually sings at both Sunday Services twice a month, as well as in outreach performances in the larger community. Highlights include the December Service of Music, often with soloists and instrumental accompaniment, the Festival Music Sunday in May, which includes all of First Church’s musical groups, and participation in the District-wide UU Choral Festivals.
