House of Germany Choir

Expert Overview

The House of Germany Choir started in 1985 as the “Heimatklang Choir”. It belongs to the House of Germany cottage in Balboa Park and was founded to offer an opportunity for members and other people interested in singing in the German language. Our members’ ages range from their 30s into their 90s (!) and they come from all walks of life: teachers, scientists, realtors, and engineers are among them. Some are native speakers, some study the language, some have another relation to German or Germany. The main goals are to have fun singing in German and enjoying each other’s company.
