San Diego Women's Chorus

Expert Overview

The San Diego Women’s Chorus (SDWC) is San Diego’s only non-auditioned lesbian-identified, feminist community chorus. For over 30 years, SDWC has provided a safe space that encourages women’s creativity, celebrates diversity, and inspires social action. With a thriving community of over 150 members, SDWC believes in the power of music and the power of women and welcomes all women, gender non-conforming, and transgender individuals who love to sing. Our members/volunteers come from the vastly diverse LGBTQ+ and straight-ally communities in and around San Diego county. SDWC entertains and inspires audiences with music that speaks to issues as diverse as human rights, love, world peace, religious freedom, environmental harmony, inclusion and cultural diversity.
