Vox Obscura explores the origins of sacred music - from ancient chants and hymns to the birth of polyphony - performed by chamber choir, cantors, harp, lute, strings, and featured oktavist Alexander Mayang. This programmatic concert examines the physical relationship between man and creator within the living, breathing landscape of early music.
Works by Pérotin, Léonin, Machaut, Josquin, and Vox Obscura composers with ancient and medieval music from Hebrew, Greek, Arabic, and Georgian traditions.
