Chorus of the Cosmos - North Coast Singers

Encinitas, Calif. (April 22, 2025)—San Diego North Coast Singers, North County’s leading youth choir for students in grades 2 through 12, will present Chorus of the Cosmos, a spring concert on May 16 at 6:00 p.m. in Encinitas. The music celebrates the celestial sphere, from the skies, planets, rainbows, sun, moon, wind, sky and even rockets, and directly correlates with the North Coast Singers’ fall concert, which examined the beauty of nature here on Earth.

“Our May concert focuses on lifting our gaze and actively seeking out the beauty in the world. When the world brings daily challenging events, it is helpful and necessary to pause and look at our celestial world to unite our voices and elevate our spirits,” described Melissa Keylock, Artistic Director and Program Manager of North Coast Singers.

Concert highlights include our grand finale, “The Sky and the Dawn and the Sun,” as performed by Celtic Woman. North Coast Singers welcomes guest artist Clare Hatter, who will perform the lively and energetic virtuosic violin solo. Other highlights are two songs the Brioso choir recently performed as part of the TrueCare fundraising gala at Omni La Costa Resort: “True Colors,” as performed by Cyndi Lauper, and Pink’s “What About Us.” The Illumination fundraising gala raised money for children and youth who need financial assistance with medical care costs.

The 32nd annual spring concert culminates the North Coast Singers’ season. The group will welcome new singers in August prior to its fall semester, which begins in September, for its three youth choirs spanning grades 2 through 12. Interested families may email Info@NorthCoastSingers.com for more information. Based in Encinitas, North Coast Singers provides an outstanding choral music education through weekly rehearsals, live performance opportunities and a culturally diverse repertoire encompassing classical, folk, jazz, gospel and contemporary genres.

TICKET PRICING:     $25 general/$10 student
