La Jolla Symphony and Chorus - The Heavenly Life
The San Diego Youth Symphony joins forces with the La Jolla Symphony in a work by the brilliant composer and cellist Andrea Casarrubios, who was first introduced to La Jolla audiences in the 2023-2024 season. The haunting beauty of Osvaldo Golijov’s Night of the Flying Horses is paired with the great symphonist Gustav Mahler’s Symphony no. 4, which takes the listener on a journey through a child’s vision of paradise.
Sorelle San Diego Spring Concert - Heartstrings
Women’s chamber chorus, Sorelle San Diego, will present Heartstrings, a spring concert on Sunday, May 3 at 2:30 p.m. in Encinitas. Directed by Michelle Risling and accompanied by Anna Juliar, Sorelle will perform compelling choral works that examine the idea of the sacred and secular elements that commingle with every human soul. Concert repertoire will address spirit, music, technology, nature, community and more.

Join the Center Chorale, Pacific Coast Chorale, and Symphony Orchestra for a presentation of a symphonic work written for The Lord of the Rings Trilogy by JRR Tolkien. Applications Open for CCSD Summer Chorus Director!
The Choral Consortium of San Diego is now accepting applications for a guest director to lead the CCSD Summer Chorus, a collaborative program that brings singers from across the San Diego region together for a unique summer choral experience.
The Summer Chorus welcomes singers from a variety of backgrounds, including members of CCSD choruses and independent singers from across the community. The selected director will propose a creative theme, shape the repertoire, and lead the ensemble through a short summer rehearsal process that culminates in a public concert performance.
This is a paid conducting opportunity, and a piano accompanist will be provided for the program.
Conductors with creative ideas and a passion for bringing singers together are encouraged to apply.
Applications are open now and must be submitted by April 17.
