Centro de Artes Musicales de Baja California

At the Baja California Musical Arts Center, choral groups from several types converge including the Ja´sit Ensemble of the bachelors degree in singing from the “JA’SIT” Vocal Performing Training School, the Tijuana Music School (TIM) Choir from the Bachelors Degree in Contemporary Popular Music, and the Program “REDES 2025” that serves children and youngsters in several neighborhoods across the cities of Tijuana and Ensenada through Community Choirs, The CAM Selection Choir and The “Redes” Vocal Ensemble. The efforts are coordinated by the Musical Arts Foundation (FAM).

CAM also is the home base for the Baja California Orchestra. It also organizes the “Choralifornia International Festival (a song without Borders)”, which gathers regional, Mexican and international choirs, on both sides of the US-Mexico Border through five days of intense activity filled with concerts, masterclasses, and workshops.

The Ja'sit Vocal Ensemble has performed in the main forums of Baja California, their performing repertoire includes from early music to contemporary pieces. In 2016, the Ensemble performed “Misa Criolla” of Ariel Ramirez at the Denver Cathedral, in Colorado. Also, with the Baja California Orchestra, has performed several Bach Cantatas, as well as “The Requiem”, and “Coronation Mass”, of Mozart.
