Now Recruiting Board Members: Make an Impact on the Choral Community!
Help Shape the Future of Choral Music in San Diego
The Choral Consortium of San Diego is seeking passionate leaders, advocates, and community builders to join our Board of Directors as we embark on an exciting new chapter of growth and impact.
This is a unique opportunity to help guide the future of choral music in the San Diego and Tijuana region. Board members play a critical role in shaping organizational strategy, strengthening community partnerships, supporting fundraising efforts, expanding membership, and helping ensure that choral music remains an essential part of our cultural landscape.
Whether your experience is in arts administration, conducting, marketing, fundraising, event planning, finance, education, community engagement, or nonprofit leadership, your skills can help make a meaningful difference. We are particularly interested in individuals who are excited to think creatively, collaborate with fellow arts leaders, and help build a stronger future for our region's choral community!
As part of our next phase of growth, new board members will have the opportunity to participate in upcoming strategic planning efforts that will help define the future direction of the organization. Together, we will explore ways to strengthen services for our member organizations, expand public awareness of choral music, increase community engagement, and elevate the visibility of choral arts within the larger southwest region.
Founded in 2010, the Choral Consortium of San Diego has served as a collaborative network for choruses, conductors, singers, educators, and arts organizations.. Through cooperation, public awareness, and performance opportunities, CCSD works to connect and strengthen the choral community while promoting the artistic and cultural value of choral music.
Today, this work is more important than ever.
Arts organizations across the country continue to face increasing challenges as funding opportunities become more competitive and public resources for arts and cultural programs are reduced. In this environment, collaboration, advocacy, and community partnerships are essential. By working together, choral organizations can amplify their collective voice, share resources, reach new audiences, and create opportunities that would not be possible alone.
CCSD's programs serve as important gathering places for singers, audiences, and organizations throughout the region. Initiatives such as our San Diego SINGS! Festival, Summer Chorus, and Beer Choir create opportunities for connection, participation, artistic growth, and community engagement while introducing new audiences to the rich variety of choral experiences available throughout San Diego and Tijuana.
One of the most exciting opportunities ahead is the planning and development of our 2027 San Diego SINGS! Festival. This signature event celebrates the diversity, creativity, and excellence of the region's choral community while bringing together ensembles and audiences from across the area. Planning is already beginning, and we are looking for individuals who want to help shape the vision, partnerships, programming, and community impact of this landmark event.
As we prepare for the future, we invite singers, arts supporters, educators, community leaders, and advocates to become part of the conversation and help shape what comes next. Together, we can strengthen connections among choirs, build new audiences, foster meaningful partnerships, and ensure that choral music continues to thrive throughout the San Diego and Tijuana region.
Be a part of the future of choral music in San Diego and Tijuana!!
