What a JOY it was to bring our community together for World Singing Day at Liberty Public Market! On Saturday, October 17, singers, music lovers, and curious passersby gathered to celebrate our favorite art form: SINGING!
The Choral Consortium of San Diego (CCSD) is grateful to everyone who joined us for this free community event and helped make the day such a memorable celebration of music, connection, and community.
A very special thank you goes to the four wonderful choruses who shared their voices, led sing-alongs, and helped fill Liberty Public Market with music and joy: San Diego Women's Chorus, Encore Vocal Ensemble, Trans Chorus of San Diego, and Raise Your Voice San Diego.
Thank you for sharing your talent, enthusiasm, and love of singing with our community. Your participation reminded us that singing isn't just something we do on a stage. It's something we can all enjoy together, regardless of experience, background, or musical ability.
Whether you came ready to belt out a familiar tune or simply stopped to listen, we hope you left feeling a little more connected through the power of music. Thank you to our participating choruses, our song leader, our volunteers, and everyone who joined us. We couldn't do it without you!

We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kathleen Hansen, our song leader and CCSD Board Member, for guiding our community sing-alongs and bringing everyone together in song. Creating a space where people feel comfortable joining their voices together is a special gift. Thank you, Kathleen, for helping make World Singing Day welcoming, joyful, and full of musical magic!
