Celebrating Megan Jones: Four Years of Leadership at CCSD!

As the Choral Consortium of San Diego continues to grow and evolve, we pause with deep gratitude to recognize someone whose work has helped shape the organization over the past four years. Our Operations Manager, Megan Jones, has been an essential part of CCSD’s journey, and we are incredibly thankful for the dedication, creativity, and care she has brought to the role.

Megan first joined CCSD as the assistant to our former Executive Director, Carol Manifold. From the very beginning, she brought enthusiasm, strong organizational skills, and a genuine passion for supporting the choral community. When Megan later stepped into the Operations Manager role, she expertly helped guide the organization through a period of growth and change.

During her time with CCSD, Megan worked tirelessly to keep the organization running smoothly while strengthening relationships throughout the choral community. She played a key role in managing day-to-day operations and sustaining many of our beloved programs. Thanks to her, Beer Choir, the San Diego Sings! Festival, Summer Chorus, and World Singing Day have continued to thrive and bring singers together from across the region.

One of Megan’s most visible and lasting contributions is the launch of CCSD’s new website. With assistance from former board member Benjamin Thiele-Long, Megan helped create a beautiful new online home for the organization. This new platform not only better reflects CCSD’s mission and community, but also sets the stage for exciting developments ahead. In the coming months, members will see new features roll out, including expanded membership access and a dedicated space for sharing resources with each other.

Although Megan will soon be stepping away from her operational role at CCSD, you will still see her at this year’s San Diego Sings! Festival, where she will once again wear her ‘stage manager hat’ and ensure the day runs smoothly!

Following the festival, Megan will be focusing her attention on her full-time nonprofit work as Director of Community Education and Support for Sepsis Alliance. While we are sad to see her move on from this chapter at CCSD, we are incredibly proud of the important nonprofit work she continues to do.

Megan’s impact on the Choral Consortium of San Diego will be felt for years to come. Her thoughtful leadership, collaborative spirit, and commitment to serving the choral community have helped strengthen our foundation and prepare us for the future.

If you see Megan at San Diego Sings!, please take a moment to thank her for her exemplary service to CCSD. We are deeply grateful for the time, energy, and heart she has given to this organization.

Thank you, Megan, for four wonderful years. Your legacy at CCSD will continue to resonate in the voices and connections you helped bring together.
