Christian Children's Chorus

Expert Overview

The Christian Children's Chorus was founded by Nancy Shirley, director, in 2014 for the purpose of rehearsing and performing quality Christian music from all eras and genres to perhaps help fill the lack of choral music in our schools and churches. Four age groups are included under the title Christian Children's Chorus: The Cherubs, K-3rd grades, Carolers, 4th-7th grades, the Belles, teen girls, and an Adult Choir.

Although some secular music is performed, the choirs are dedicated to singing the best of Christian choral music suitable for their ages and abilities. Musicianship and music theory is taught as the music is rehearsed. The organization is not affiliated with any local church and is open to all. Choirs are non auditioned except for the Belles, where an audition is required.
