The Martin Luther King Jr., Community Choir San Diego, or MLKCCSD, is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Since 1997 the MLK Choir has been performing gospel concerts to raise funds for educational grants to give to San Diego County high school seniors pursuing a college degree in visual or performing arts. Our music is inspirational and uplifting, and celebrates the history of the negro spiritual. The Choir has performed consistently throughout San Diego County and has performed internationally. Membership in the Choir is open to singers and musicians, from all denominations, with prior choral experience. Members must have a desire to volunteer their time and talents, and attend regular weekly rehearsals.
