St. Mark's UMC Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir has led the music ministry at St. Mark's United Methodist Church and continues to be an integral part of the worship services. In the fall of 1954, the first choir was organized with an enthusiastic nucleus of ten voices. The Chancel Choir's first special musical performance, Faure’s Requiem, was on Maundy Thursday, April 1957. The Chancel Choir has had many long-time time dedicated members. They have performed many memorable major works with orchestra. The choir also sings in the homes of our congregation members who are in hospice care. The choir is close knit circle of friends that can accurately be described as a choir family.
